Who sang that song anyway?
It has been a while since I last wrote. I had so much negative crappola clogging up the works but a good flush fixed the problem. It has been an enlightening experience in self preservation, thats the only way I can say it. There are so many blogs about the "state of the world" such as politics, religion...all the mindboggling B.S that one cannot escape from and I really dont care about making the top 10 blog or what ever else comes of being read by zillions on JU so I decided to write about things I thought would be fun. I have enjoyed reading in this community and am quite fond of a few contributors. Texas Wahine for instance, she would be so much fun to be friends with. I can tell by her wit and sensitivity that she is one helluva gal. And you have a few boat rockers like Sir WhatsHisname.....He is so ludicrous that I cant help but watch his blog just for the laughs. OH! I am going to be a Grandmother again! Just found out that My son and his wife are expecting again, and the kicker...her due date is his birthday! I am so happy for them, and me of course. They are hoping for a son this time and if they/we get him, they are going to name him after a very special person in our lives, My father in law and his grandfather. The boys name will be Royal. Ok, so I'm rambling but its a happy rambling. Ok, for those of you wondering what happened to the cynical, unhappy Madd~ness, she sent her self to the "cleaners" and with some excellent "Buddhist Psycotherapy" came out the other end a focused and happy person. Enough of that or this will be just another religious blog. I'm going back to college, its something I have always wanted to be able to afford to do. I want to teach children with learning disablities and after 17 years of working with special needs children, I just know I will enjoy doing this. I cant wait and I am so happy that I can finally do this. It is going to be a grueling 4 years but well worth it to me. I have two younger twin sisters with learning disablities and they are what got me interested in doing what I do. I have cared for and loved so many over the years. I have lost many as well, adults and children. They all love unconditionally and one cant help but cherish them as well. I will mention only a few but feel I need to, First was Charlie Cox, He was very difficult and had many disruptive behaviors when in a group, but if you got him one on one, he was a gem. He loved Bobby Knight and IU Basketball, he could tell you the name and possition of every player. One moment he would be screaming curses but the next he would be saying " I'm sorry" and wanting to hug you. I loved that man. Second was "Miss Tommy" she used to call me "Sweet Suga Legs Miss Rusty" because of my red hair. I drive many miles to see her still. And the last I will mention is Sherry and Carol, two women that were casualties of the Indiana Govenors desire to close all state hospitals. They spent their entire lives, from toddlers to age 50 something in one of Indiana's state institutions. They were moved into an apartment where I was to spend many hours with them as their caretaker. They were extrordinary women with a zest for life that I have yet to see rivaled. Yes, they were rough and hard and I have physical scars from my time with them, but I can tell you with all honesty that I would'nt have traded my time with them for anything.Alriiiiighty then. The 24th anniversary of my 21st birthday approaches...Yee Haw...What a party thats gonna be. Enough for now, Y'all have a great week! Lovin' You!
